We are thrilled to announce the renewal of our partnership with NatWest Cymru to launch the ACF Women Entrepreneurship Programme 2024. This initiative aims to empower women from under-represented communities, particularly those from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds in Wales, by encouraging them to explore entrepreneurship and self-employment as viable paths to financial empowerment.

Programme overview

The grant from NatWest Cymru will enable us to deliver a comprehensive six-week ‘Starting Your Own Enterprise’ training course, followed by an additional two weeks of advice and mentoring. Participants will also have access to other skills development opportunities, all designed to help them start their own micro, small, or medium enterprises (MSMEs). Over a 12-month period, we will deliver three cohorts of this transformative programme.

What we offer

-Training and mentoring: Our six to eight-week online training course, conducted for 2 hours each week, is designed to help women overcome key challenges in entrepreneurship. This includes business planning, market analysis, financial management, and more.

-Access to interest-free finance: Successful completion of the training will serve as a pathway to access ACF’s interest-free finance, supporting aspiring entrepreneurs in establishing their own businesses.

-Skills development: Participants will gain confidence in business, refine their strategies, expand their networks, and connect with relevant markets.

-Emotional wellbeing: Our programme and mentorship help women navigate and overcome challenging life circumstances, significantly enhancing their overall wellbeing. By fostering a supportive community and offering personalised guidance, we empower participants to build the confidence to grow both personally and professionally.

Our Mission

At ACF, our mission is to change lives and livelihoods by breaking down the unjust barriers faced by people in business and finance. We are committed to levelling the economic playing field, eradicating poverty, and achieving financial inclusion for all.

Upcoming Cohort

Cohort 14, supported by NatWest Cymru, will commence on July 31st and run for six weeks, followed by an additional two weeks of mentoring. Fill out an application form here to reserve your space.

Together with NatWest Cymru, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous future for women entrepreneurs in Wales.
